Numbers 28 for Kids

God shows His people a happy habit: bringing Him a gift every single day, to say thank You and I love You.

Today's Story

God loved His people, and He wanted them to remember Him — not just once a year, but all the time. So He gave them a special plan.

“Every morning,” God said, “bring Me a gift. And every evening, bring Me another one.” A gift at the start of the day, and a gift at the end of the day. Day after day, like clockwork.

The gifts were good things from their farms — the best they had to give. They were not leftovers or scraps. They were the first and the finest.

God planned even bigger gifts for special days too. Once a week, on the rest day, there was more. Once a month, when the new moon came, there was more. God wanted His people to keep turning their hearts back to Him over and over.

It was a little like saying “Good morning, God” and “Good night, God” every single day. The gifts were their way of saying, “We love You. We have not forgotten You. Thank You for taking care of us.”

A Big Word

Talk About It

  1. What is the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning? Could you add a quick “Good morning, God” to your day?
  2. God's people gave Him their best, not their leftovers. What is one of YOUR best things you could thank God for today?
  3. God wanted His people to remember Him morning AND night. What is a way our family could remember God before bed?
