God marks special days on the calendar — happy holidays when His people stop everything to celebrate Him together.

Today's Story

We all love special days — birthdays, holidays, big family parties. God loves them too! So He gave His people some very special days every year.

One day, He told them to blow the trumpets. Toot! Toot! It was a loud, happy sound to wake everyone up and say, “Today is God's special day — remember Him!”

Another day was the biggest rest day of all. No work. Just quiet time to think about God and how good He is.

Then came a whole week of camping out in little tents made of branches! It was a joyful feast. Families slept outside, remembered how God had taken care of them in the desert, and brought their very best gifts to thank Him.

On every one of these days, the people brought happy gifts to God. The special days were like big thank-you parties — a time to stop, to celebrate, and to remember together how much God loved them.
