Proverbs is a whole book of short, true sayings that help you live a good life. Chapter 24 has a bunch of them, like a pocket full of little reminders.
Today's Story
Have you ever watched someone do something mean and still get what they wanted? Maybe a kid cuts the line, or copies an answer, or pushes to the front - and it works for them. It can make you think, “Maybe I should do that too.”
Proverbs 24 says: don't. Don't wish you were like people who do wrong things. Their happy feeling doesn't last. Choosing to be good is always worth it, even when it's slower.
Here's another saying from this chapter. A good person can fall down seven times - and get back up every single time. Falling down isn't the end. Getting up again is what matters.
And one more. When you know the true answer, say it. Telling the truth is like giving someone a warm hug, this chapter says - it's a gift. Even when the truth is hard to say, it helps people more than a lie ever could.
Little sayings. Big help. That's what the book of Proverbs is for.

Talk About It
- Have you ever seen someone get away with being mean or unfair? How did it make you feel? Why do you think the Bible says not to wish you were like them?
- The verse says good people get back up after they fall - seven times! Tell about a time you made a mistake and then tried again. What helped you get back up?
- When is it hardest for you to tell the truth? What could help you be brave and say it anyway?
