Proverbs 3 for Kids

For Kids · 3 min with a grown-up

Proverbs is a book full of wise sayings, like a parent passing on the best advice they know. Proverbs 3 holds the most famous one of all — about trusting God.

Today's Story

A wise father sat his child down to share the most important advice he knew.

“My child,” he said, “trust in the Lord with all your heart. Don't just lean on your own understanding. In everything you do, remember God — and He will show you which way to go.”

“Don't think you're the smartest one in the room,” he said. “Honor God, and be kind and honest. Wisdom is worth more than gold or silver or anything money can buy.”

“When you trust God like that,” the father said, “it's like having a safe path under your feet. You can walk without being afraid, and sleep without worrying, because God is taking care of you.”

It's old, old advice. But it's still the truest thing there is: trust God with your WHOLE heart — even the parts you don't understand yet.
