Psalm 105 is a song that remembers a long, true story - all the ways God kept His promise to His people and never, ever forgot them.
Today's Story
Psalm 105 is like a grandma telling the family story by the fire. It starts, “Give thanks to the Lord. Tell everyone the wonderful things He has done!”
Then it remembers. A long time ago, God made a promise to a man named Abraham: I will take care of you and your family forever. And God never forgot that promise. Not once.
The song remembers Joseph, who was carried far away to Egypt and had a very hard time - but God was with him, and in the end God lifted him up to help save many people from hunger.
It remembers Moses, who God sent to bring His people out of Egypt where they were not free. God led them out with great power, and gave them water in the desert and bread from the sky so they would not be hungry.
Over and over the song says the same wonderful thing: God remembered His promise. Through all those years, all those people, all those troubles - God kept every single word He said. And He still does today.
