Psalm 146 starts and ends with two big words: “Praise the Lord!” It tells us who is really worth trusting - the God who never lets us down.
Today's Story
The singer woke up with a song in his heart. “Praise the Lord!” he sang. “I will praise God my whole life long. I will sing to Him as long as I live!”
Then he gave some good advice. “Don't put all your hope in people - not even kings,” he said. “People are kind, but they can't fix everything, and one day they grow old. Put your hope in God instead. He never runs out and never lets you down.”
And then the singer told everyone why God is so worth trusting.
“God made the sky and the sea and everything in them. He always keeps His promises. He gives food to people who are hungry. He sets free people who are stuck. He opens the eyes of people who cannot see.”
“God lifts up people who are sad and bent low. He loves people who do what is right. He watches over visitors far from home, and He cares for children who have no mom or dad.”
“God will be King forever!” the singer finished. “Praise the Lord!”

Talk About It
- Has anyone ever promised you something and then forgot? The song says God always keeps His promises. How does that feel?
- The song says God helps people who are hungry, sad, or far from home. Who is someone you know that could use some help or kindness?
- The singer wanted to praise God his whole life long. What is one way you could praise God today - with a song, a thank-you, or a happy dance?
