Psalm 69 is a song King David sang on a really hard day — when he was hurting and other people were being unkind. Watch how he tells God everything, and still trusts Him.
Today's Story
Have you ever had a day when too many hard things piled up at once? That is the kind of day King David was having.
He felt like he was standing in deep water, with the waves coming all the way up to his neck. He had cried so much that he was tired and his eyes hurt. Some people were even laughing at him and being mean.
So what did David do? He did the very best thing. He turned to God and told Him everything. He didn't pretend he was fine. He prayed, “Save me, God! The water is up to my neck.”
David poured out every big feeling — the scared parts, the sad parts, the tired parts. He knew God was not too busy to listen.
And then something beautiful happened in the song. Even while things were still hard, David said, “But I pray to You, Lord. I know You will answer me because You love me.”
By the end, David was doing something surprising. He was singing. He sang, “I will praise God's name with a song. The Lord hears those who are hurting.” The water was still high — but David was holding God's hand the whole way through.
