Titus 2 for Kids

For Kids · 4 min with a grown-up

Paul keeps writing his letter to Titus. In this part, he has something good for every person in God's family — the oldest grandpa all the way down to the littlest child.

Today's Story

Paul wanted everyone in God's family to live in a way that was good and beautiful. So in his letter, he gave each person a special job.

To the grandmas and grandpas, he said: be patient, and love God. To the moms and dads, he said: be kind, and care for your homes. To the young people, he said: do what is right, and be wise.

Then Paul said something just for someone like Titus — and for someone like you. He said, “Show everyone how to do good things. Let people see your good life.”

Paul knew a secret. When people watch you share, and forgive, and help, it makes them want to know the God you love. Your kind life is like a window. People look through it and see Jesus on the other side.

And here is the best part. Paul reminded everyone why we do good. We do not do good to make God love us. God already loves us! Jesus came because He loves us, and He helps us learn to say no to mean things and yes to kind things.

A Big Word

Talk About It

  1. Think about your day. When did someone do a kind thing that you wanted to copy?
  2. Paul said our good life is like a window people see Jesus through. What good thing could people see you do this week?
  3. Why is it good news that we do not have to earn God's love — that He already loves us?
