What Does Luke 22:32 Mean?
Against Satan's demand stands a stronger word: 'I have prayed for thee.' Jesus does not promise Peter exemption from the sieve - the denials will come - but that his faith will not finally give out. And he speaks past the fall to the recovery: 'when thou art converted,' when you have turned again.
