What Does Matthew 25:10 Mean?
The story reaches its hinge. The foolish are away on their last-minute errand at the very moment the whole night was for; the prepared walk in with the bridegroom to the wedding feast. Then comes the quietest, heaviest clause in the parable: and the door was shut.
The shut door declares that the season of preparation has an end.
