What Does 1 Timothy 1:6 Mean?
Having named love, conscience, and faith as the goal, Paul notes the sad result when people miss the mark: they swerve away and fall into pointless chatter.
'Vain jangling' is talk that makes noise but carries no weight. The danger is not always open rebellion; sometimes it is simply drifting from what matters into words that sound impressive yet leave the heart empty.
