The verdict
DonorHub solves a specialized but expensive operational gap: getting accurate gift and account information from a ministry system into the tools support-raised staff actually use. Its managed integrations and long history are reassuring, but donor privacy, reconciliation, connector access, recovery, and exit exports need contractual review.

TntWare DonorHub is a managed cloud integration service for churches and mission organizations with support-raised staff. It imports gift and accounting data from systems such as Aplos, Bloomerang, Planning Center Giving, QuickBooks Online, Tithe.ly, Virtuous, Xero, and many others, then delivers that information to staff portals and missionary-development tools.
The practical promise is faster donor follow-up and less finance-team busywork. A missionary can see gifts, balances, income, and expenses or synchronize data into tools such as TntConnect, MPDX, Donor Manager, DonorElf, Epistle, or Hizuko without re-entering every transaction.
DonorHub Online grew from TntMPD.DataServer, which TntWare renamed in 2016 while moving the technically demanding server product into a managed cloud service. Some on-premise sources still need a small Cloud Connector, so deployment complexity depends heavily on the organization’s current database and accounting stack.
We reviewed TntWare’s current product, pricing, integration lists, background pages, and public help materials without connecting a live donor database. We did not independently test matching accuracy, synchronization latency, availability, permissions, security controls, support response, reconciliation, or data export.
✓ The good
- Specialized mission workflow - connects finance records to tools used by support-raised staff
- Managed integrations - TntWare maintains the bridge instead of leaving custom code to the ministry
- Broad source support - published compatibility spans major church, nonprofit, CRM, and accounting systems
- Staff visibility - current gifts and account reports can replace delayed spreadsheets or mailed statements
- System flexibility - organizations can change a donation source without forcing every missionary to change tools
✗ Watch out
- Sensitive data concentration - donor identity, gifts, staff accounts, and financial history cross system boundaries
- Variable pricing - preferred sources receive a better formula while custom sources and reports cost more
- Connector dependency - some on-premise systems require a Windows bridge and local operational ownership
- Narrow audience - ordinary congregations without support-raised staff may not need this integration layer
- Dated public documentation - legacy DonorHub Lite pages can be confused with the current managed service
Best for
- Mission agencies distributing gift and account data to support-raised workers
- Churches whose staff use TntConnect, MPDX, Donor Manager, or another compatible MPD tool
- Finance teams replacing manual donor reports and duplicate gift entry
- Organizations prepared to govern integrations, reconciliation, permissions, and exports
Avoid if
- Your giving or accounting platform already provides every staff-facing report and MPD integration you need
- You cannot approve cloud processing of donor and staff financial information
- No finance owner can reconcile source totals against downstream records
- You need a donor-facing giving page rather than a back-office data bridge
What TntWare DonorHub is
DonorHub is an integration and reporting service, not a donation form, payment processor, accounting ledger, donor CRM, tax-receipt authority, or missionary support-raising strategy. Its job is to move approved financial records from authoritative systems into a staff portal and compatible MPD tools.
The organization remains responsible for source accuracy, duplicate and reversal handling, donor anonymity, restricted gifts, access roles, retention, incident response, reconciliation, staff departures, and proving that exported totals agree with the books.
Why mission agencies use DonorHub instead of another spreadsheet
Support-raised staff need timely gift information to thank partners and understand account health, while finance teams need one controlled source of truth. DonorHub automates that narrow connection across systems that were not designed to speak to each other.
That convenience is only trustworthy when finance owns the rules. Pilot a representative set of gifts, refunds, anonymous donors, split designations, currency, and staff transfers; document exceptions; and reconcile every downstream figure before expanding access.
Donation-system integrations: managed does not mean ungoverned
TntWare publishes compatibility with many cloud and on-premise donation sources and says it maintains the integration. A Cloud Connector may bridge a local system when a direct cloud connection is unavailable.
Confirm supported product edition, fields, sync direction, timing, credentials, least privilege, maintenance windows, and responsibility when either vendor changes an API. Keep a named technical and finance owner on both sides.
Staff Portal and MPD delivery: faster gratitude with safer access
Staff can view current donation and account information in a web portal or receive it through compatible relationship-development software. That can reduce manual entry and shorten the time between a gift and a personal thank-you.
Use individual accounts, strong authentication, rapid deprovisioning, role-based visibility, audit logs, and donor-anonymity rules. A missionary should see only the information required for responsible partner care.
Financial reporting: automation still requires reconciliation
Optional account reports can expose balances, income, and expenses alongside donation activity. The service is especially useful where field staff otherwise wait for periodic statements from a central office.
Treat reports as operational views rather than the general ledger. Reconcile totals, corrections, refunds, transfers, exchange rates, and closed periods against the authoritative accounting system on a documented schedule.
Pricing
Preferred source
$70/mo + $1.10/user
Base formula for a published preferred donation-data source.
Per-user alternative
$10/user/mo
Preferred-source customers pay whichever published formula is lower.
Other donation source
$75/mo + $1.10/user
Managed connection for a source outside the preferred list.
Account reports
From $40/mo
Optional accounting reports; other sources are listed at $45 monthly.
For a preferred donation source, DonorHub lists $70 per month plus $1.10 per user or $10 per user per month, whichever is less.
For other donation-data sources, the published formula is $75 per month plus $1.10 per user. Confirm whether a custom connector, migration, or implementation adds cost.
Optional account reporting is $40 monthly for preferred accounting sources and $45 for other sources. The public site does not present a permanent free plan.
Model total cost using active staff, every source system, connector hosting, internal reconciliation time, and expected migration or exit work.
Where TntWare DonorHub falls behind
Separate current DonorHub Online documentation more clearly from retired DonorHub Lite material.
Publish a modern trust center with audits, encryption, backups, recovery targets, subprocessors, retention, and incident practices.
Document field mappings, sync timing, failure alerts, idempotency, reversals, currencies, and reconciliation behavior per integration.
Provide clear self-service exports and an exit guide for donor, gift, staff-account, configuration, and audit data.
Offer a transparent implementation estimator for custom sources, connectors, migrations, and support levels.
DonorHub vs. MPDX vs. Planning Center Giving
DonorHub is the bridge between an organization’s finance systems and several missionary tools. MPDX is a support-raising CRM for individual missionaries. Planning Center Giving receives and administers donations inside the Planning Center ecosystem.
Choose DonorHub when a central organization must publish authoritative gift data into multiple staff tools. Choose MPDX for personal partner development, or Planning Center Giving when the church can keep giving and staff workflows inside one suite.
Test the complete chain rather than a feature list: record a gift, designation, refund, anonymous donor, staff transfer, and correction; confirm every system; revoke a user; export the history; and reconcile the final totals.
The bottom line
TntWare DonorHub is unusually focused software for a real missions problem. When an agency already has a donation or accounting system but field staff live in TntConnect, MPDX, or another MPD tool, its managed bridge can save substantial reporting and data-entry time. The product should be purchased as financial infrastructure, not a convenience widget: validate every mapping, restrict donor access, plan connector ownership, reconcile continuously, and secure a complete exit path. With those controls, it can help staff respond to partners sooner without forcing finance to maintain fragile custom integrations.
