What Does Luke 22:70 Mean?
They hear his claim rightly - to sit at God's right hand is to claim divine sonship - so they put it directly: 'Art thou then the Son of God?' His answer, 'Ye say that I am,' is an idiom of affirmation: you have said it, and it is so. Mark renders the reply simply 'I am' (Mark 14:62).
