What Does Luke 23:8 Mean?
For a long season Herod had wanted to see Jesus — once asking, “who is this, of whom I hear such things?” (Luke 9:9). Now the famous Galilean stands in his hall, and Herod's gladness is the gladness of a man expecting a show.
