What Does Revelation 2:27 Mean?
The promised authority is described further, again echoing Psalm 2. The overcomer will rule with a rod of iron, a reign unbreakable and just, before which all that opposes shatters like clay pottery. Christ adds the key: this authority is given "even as I received of my Father."
The believer's share in the kingdom flows from the Son, who Himself received His reign from the Father.
