The crown is then kept in the temple as a memorial honoring those who gave the gifts.

What Does Zechariah 6:14 Mean?

After it has served its prophetic purpose, the crown is to be placed in the temple as a lasting memorial, honoring the men whose gifts had made it, the returned exiles and the host who received them. Their names are written into the worship of God's house.

God remembers the offerings of His people. What was given in faith is not spent and forgotten but kept before Him as a token of grace. The memorial in the temple quietly teaches that small acts of devotion endure in the sight of heaven, woven permanently into the story of what God is doing among His own.

In the Original Language

zikkaron (זִכָּרוֹן), 'memorial' -- a lasting reminder that keeps a deed or a promise before God and His people.
