How to choose

Start with what is free, because a surprising amount is. TBN+, The Chosen, Moody Radio, Hope Channel and CBN Family cost nothing, and RightNow Media is free through most churches - if yours has a subscription you already have access to one of the largest Christian video libraries there is. Check that before paying for anything.

For children, the honest ranking is Yippee TV first at $7.99/mo or $49/yr, then Minno at $10.99/mo or $69.99/yr. Yippee is cheaper, publishes larger content figures (7,000+ episodes, 335+ series) and positions itself explicitly as a curated alternative to YouTube. Minno has the complete classic VeggieTales collection, which for some households settles it on its own.

Bentkey is the one to be careful with, and the problem is not the shows - it is that you cannot establish the price. The landing page advertises "$5.84/month" billed annually and a "$1" trial; the subscription page says "$99 Billed Annually"; and the support article on renewal cost declines to name a figure at all, promising an email 30 days beforehand. It is annual-only, non-refundable, and cancelling mid-term does not refund the year - their own worked example has you cancelling in July with access to the following May. Good originals, opaque commerce.

For adults, UP Faith & Family is the value pick at $5.99/mo or $59.99/yr for a large faith-and-family library, with one hard constraint: its own help centre says it is "currently available only within the continental United States", which excludes Alaska and Hawaii as well as everywhere abroad. Pure Flix at $7.99/mo is the better-known alternative and is not geo-limited the same way.

Formed is the Catholic formation pick rather than a general entertainment service: movies sit beside studies, sacramental programs, audiobooks, ebooks and children’s content. Individual access is $9.99/mo or $99.99/yr, but members of more than 5,000 participating parishes may already have it sponsored - check the parish before paying.

Two things worth checking before you subscribe to anything here. Offline download, if you want it for car journeys - Minno, Yippee and UP Faith & Family all support it, though UP requires the app to stay open on screen for the whole download, which is a genuine nuisance. And cross-platform entitlement: UP Faith & Family states plainly that a subscription bought via Prime Video or a cable partner does not work in its own app, and Bentkey subscriptions bought through Apple or Roku can only be managed there. Buy in the place you intend to watch.

A note on the smaller, family-run services. Wild Brothers TV ($7.99/mo, or $14.99 for the community tier) is genuinely distinctive - adventure and wildlife content made by four missionary kids raised in Southeast Asia - but it publishes no free trial and no refund policy, and its paid "Wild Tribe" tier includes a members' chat and user-generated content with nothing published about how any of it is moderated. That is a real gap for a product aimed at children, and it stands in contrast to Lightgliders, which documents its moderation in detail.

Finally, ad-free status is worth verifying rather than assuming. Most services here claim it explicitly. CBN Family never does - it is free and donor-funded, and its best material sits behind a $20/month-or-higher partner donation rather than a subscription, which is a different bargain from the one the rest of this category offers.

Apps

Good Feed Media

4.9 · Free app and videos · optional workbooks, bundles and donations

Good Feed Media streams complete discipleship series, Bible study tools and all six volumes of 33 The Series without a subscription—an unusually generous library whose optional books, mature themes and Subsplash data layers need clear group leadership.

Christian Streaming Apps

Olive Christian Radio

4.9 · Free

Olive Christian Radio offers a free stream of current worship, inspirational songs, timeless selections and short biblical encouragement with favorites and a sleep timer—but its app-store privacy label omits data the official policy describes.

Christian Streaming Apps

ZipWave TV

4.9 · Free; Premium price through distribution partners

A free live-channel bundle mixing faith, international news and family programming without a required iOS account—more convenient than channel-hopping, but neither ad-free nor uniformly child-safe.

Christian Streaming Apps

Every Man Ministries

4.9 · Free samples · $9.99 monthly · $99.99 yearly

Every Man Ministries packages Kenny Luck’s evangelical men’s teaching, video studies, daily devotions, Bible plans, livestreams, prayer, and group discussion into a polished subscription app—but a narrowly gendered library, tiny store sample, identifier tracking, broad Vimeo-powered data collection, and a yearly plan that saves almost nothing deserve a clear-eyed trial.

Christian Streaming Apps

BCC Media

4.9 · Free

A Norwegian nonprofit streams polished, ad-free Bible animation, children’s series, studies, sermons, shorts, and interactive lessons across mobile, TV, and web—but the library represents Brunstad Christian Church’s teaching, account history is retained broadly, and families still need to preview.

Christian Streaming Apps

MyTRIBE.watch

4.9 · $12/mo after a 7-day trial

A homegrown, funny, chronological Bible-video subscription with printable family activities and real creative personality—promising for elementary-age engagement, but expensive and undermined by contradictory prices, age terms, and stale privacy documents.

Christian Streaming Apps

The Light DFW

4.9 · Free with commercials

A joyful streaming-only reunion of the team and sound many North Texas listeners missed after KLTY changed—local personalities and a deeper throwback mix, with a surprisingly invasive generic radio-app layer.

Christian Streaming Apps

The Chip Ingram App

4.9 · Free; optional donations and paid store resources

The official Living on the Edge app puts Chip Ingram’s practical evangelical teaching, daily broadcasts, notes, devotionals, and series in one free media hub—excellent for committed listeners, but narrower and more data-complex than its simple Apple label suggests.

Christian Streaming Apps

Canon+

4.9 · $11.99/mo after 7-day trial

Canon Press combines 7,000-plus hours of Reformed audiobooks, shows, courses, and films in one ad-free subscription—but both the strong editorial viewpoint and app experience need to fit your household.

Christian Streaming Apps

Formed

4.9 · Parish-sponsored or $9.99/mo

The Augustine Institute’s “Catholic Netflix” is now a much larger formation library—movies, studies, daily reflections, books, audio, parish programs, and children’s content for $99.99 a year or through a sponsoring parish.

Catholic Apps

Churchome

4.9 · Free

Judah and Chelsea Smith's single-church app is free, donor-funded and very good at daily prayer - and the live App Store listing still sells a human Pastor Chat that Churchome closed on 3 April 2026.

Christian Streaming Apps

Answers.tv

4.9 · $4.99/month after a 7-day free trial

Answers in Genesis charges $4.99 a month for more than 7,000 videos built on one explicit premise: creation happened in six 24-hour days and the earth is thousands of years old, not billions. Whether that makes this the best-value subscription in Christian streaming or an unusable one turns on a single question - and it is not the price.

Christian Streaming Apps

Grace Media

4.9 · Free

Grace Community Church gives away its entire video catalogue - documentaries, hymn teaching, a children's series, the Sunday livestream - for nothing, with no ads and no in-app purchases. It is also not the app that holds John MacArthur's sermon archive, and nothing in the store listing tells you that -

Christian Streaming Apps

Angel Studios

4.9 · Free tier, then $12/month

A publicly traded studio that lets its paying members vote on what gets greenlit, then sells access through three tiers starting at $12 a month - and the series that built the company now streams somewhere else.

Christian Streaming Apps

Bethel.tv

4.9 · Around $13/mo

The streaming home of Bethel Church (Redding) and Bethel Music - sermons, BSSM teaching, conference replays, and a decade-deep worship catalog in one app.

Christian Streaming Apps

Moody Radio

4.9 · Free

The free streaming app for Moody Bible Institute’s Christian radio network - listen live to local and internet stations, catch favorite teaching and talk programs on demand, and take it all into the car with CarPlay.

Christian Streaming Apps

K-LOVE On Demand

4.8 · Free

A free video library built around Christian music artists, concerts, documentaries, lifestyle series, and devotionals—worth installing for K-LOVE fans, but much narrower and more data-intensive than its $0 price suggests.

Christian Streaming Apps

Edifi Podcasts

4.8 · Free

Edifi gathers Christian podcasts into a faith-focused discovery experience with an unusually large catalog—but its open-RSS foundation, conflicting feature claims, and four-year-old mobile builds deserve a careful look.

Christian Streaming Apps

Redeem TV

4.8 · Free; optional Redeem3:16 support

Christian History Institute’s donor-supported service streams more than 2,000 films, documentaries, children’s programs, and series with no ordinary subscription wall—though “worldwide” access does not make every title available everywhere.

Christian Streaming Apps

CBN Radio

4.8 · Free

Twelve continuous Christian music streams from a 501(c)(3) that took in $299.2 million in donations last year - and the app is still labelled 'Contains ads' on Google Play.

Christian Streaming Apps

Wild Brothers TV

4.8 · $7.99/mo or $79.99/yr - no free trial published

A missionary family's adventure and wildlife channel with the highest App Store score in this category - sold with no free trial, no published refund policy, and a children's chat feature whose moderation is documented nowhere at all.

Christian Streaming Apps

TBN+

4.8 · Free

The streaming home of Trinity Broadcasting Network, free on every major device - and surprisingly deep once you start digging.

Christian Streaming Apps

Pando App

4.7 · Free

Free Christian video and Bible access built first for secure prison tablets, with remarkable reach and a broad ministry catalog—but access, impact claims, privacy, and pastoral care need careful context.

Christian Streaming Apps

The Porch

4.7 · Free

A free doorway into Watermark Community Church's young-adult teaching and Tuesday gathering—strongest as a bridge to real church community, not a substitute for it.

Christian Streaming Apps

Daystar

4.7 · Free; optional donations

The official free app for Daystar Television Network combines an auto-playing 24/7 channel, on-demand programs, audio-only listening, and global streams—best for viewers who already want its charismatic Christian broadcast perspective.

Christian Streaming Apps

Bentkey

4.7 · Unclear - "$5.84/month*" billed annually on the landing page, "$99 Billed Annually" on the subscription page

A well-rated, genuinely ad-free kids' streaming service with charming originals - sold at a price that three of the vendor's own pages describe three different ways, on an annual-only, non-refundable commitment.

Christian Streaming Apps

The Chosen

4.7 · Free

The Chosen has quietly become the most-watched depiction of Jesus in history, and the official app is the front door to all of it - every episode, every season, every roundtable, free.

Christian Streaming Apps

Yippee TV

4.7 · $7.99/mo or $49/yr (7-day free trial)

A newer, tightly curated streaming app for Christian families that sits somewhere between Minno and Pure Flix Kids - smaller catalog, bigger guardrails, and a growing slate of originals.

Christian Streaming Apps

AudioVerse

4.7 · Free

A free, deep library of Christian audio - more than 45,000 sermons, lectures, audiobooks, Scripture readings, and songs from the Seventh-day Adventist tradition, all downloadable for offline listening.

Christian Streaming Apps

Playlister

4.6 · $19.99 per screen/month billed annually

A cloud-based children’s ministry presentation system that sends curriculum and media to simple Apple TV classroom players—far easier for volunteers than a production workstation, but priced per screen and dependent on careful content rights, device management, network preparation, and child-safe operations.

Christian Streaming Apps

Encouraging Radio

4.6 · Free · Android contains ads

Encouraging Radio puts five regional Christian stations, a year-round Christmas stream, CCM classics, and selected podcasts in one free app—but Android contains ads, station schedules still rule the experience, and its privacy disclosures do not fully agree.

Christian Streaming Apps

QAVA

4.6 · 7 days free, then $9.99/mo

A thoughtfully rebuilt Christian video-and-reflection library with unusually clear current privacy promises—strong for guided quiet time, but its migration losses, broad teaching roster, and stale store labels need attention.

Christian Streaming Apps

Dude Perfect

4.6 · Free with family-friendly advertising

The Dude Perfect app is a genuinely free, family-oriented home for trick shots, sports challenges, and comedy—with openly Christian founders, but entertainment rather than a Christian discipleship library.

Christian Streaming Apps

UP Faith & Family

4.6 · 7-day free trial, then $5.99/mo or $59.99/yr

The most heavily rated of the faith-and-family streaming subscriptions, and one of the cheapest at $5.99 a month - with a geographic wall its own help centre states plainly and most write-ups leave out.

Christian Streaming Apps

Godcaster

4.5 · Free for listeners · station plans from $29/month

Godcaster combines live Christian and conservative radio with on-demand programs, follows, queues and car playback in one free listener app—useful discovery wrapped in a station platform whose current data practices have outgrown its placeholder-filled privacy policy.

Christian Streaming Apps

5fish: Gospel in Every Language

4.5 · Free · no ads or in-app purchases listed

5fish is an extraordinary free library of Christian audio, illustrated programs, films, songs, testimonies, and some audio Bibles across more than 6,800 language varieties—but coverage and source type vary by language, sharing content requires cultural and relational care, and its 2014 privacy policy no longer explains Android’s current third-party sharing clearly enough.

Christian Streaming Apps

BRAVE+

4.5 · $9.99/month or $59.99/year

A conservative, ad-free kids streaming service with parent-scored classics and originals—promising curation, but contradictory pricing, cancellation, and privacy disclosures require careful reading.

Christian Streaming Apps

Pure Flix

4.5 · $9.99/mo Standard; trial offers vary

The original "Christian Netflix" is now Great American Pure Flix, and its pitch is unchanged - a deep library of family-safe faith films, kids shows, and originals you can let any age in the house watch without a second thought.

Christian Streaming Apps

Minno

4.5 · $10.99/mo or $69.99/yr (7-day free trial)

The streaming app from the team behind VeggieTales and What’s in the Bible? - a curated, ad-free home for Christian kids’ video between ages 2 and 10, with a parent dashboard that actually does something.

Christian Streaming Apps

The JESUS Film Project

4.5 · Free

The dedicated streaming app for the 1979 JESUS film and its companion shorts, now translated into more than 2,000 languages - and that number alone explains why this app exists.

Christian Streaming Apps

CBN Family

4.4 · Free with a CBN account, then a $20/mo-or-higher Partner level

The only faith streaming app in this category that is actually free at its base tier rather than free-for-seven-days - though what sits above that base is a donor partnership, not a subscription, and the app publishes less about itself than any rival here.

Christian Streaming Apps

Hope Channel

4.3 · Free

The Seventh-day Adventist Church’s official global streaming network, free across every major platform - and shaped end-to-end by Adventist distinctives.

Christian Streaming Apps

Study Gateway

4.2 · $7.95/mo after 7-day trial

HarperCollins Christian Publishing puts thousands of Zondervan and Thomas Nelson video studies behind a transparent $7.95 personal plan—with group and church tiers that scale to 4,000-plus users.

Christian Streaming Apps

SermonAudio

4.1 · Free

The largest free sermon archive on the internet, with deep roots in conservative Reformed circles - and a surprisingly capable set of phone and smart-TV apps wrapped around it.

Christian Streaming Apps

Hillsong

4.1 · Free, then around $8.99/mo for Hillsong Channel

The official mobile home of one of the most-sung worship catalogs on earth - and a paid teaching tier that asks more of you than the music does.

Christian Streaming Apps

AccessMore

3.8 · Free · donor-supported · contains ads on Android

A free, donor-supported Christian podcast network with credible hosts and unusually broad subject coverage—better as a catalog than as a polished podcast player.

Christian Streaming Apps

Tugo TV

3.8 · Free with ads · Tugo Plus USA listed at $9.99

Tugo TV gathers free faith, family, news, sports, radio and on-demand programming into a broad live-channel guide—but “family-friendly” still calls for channel-by-channel judgment.

Christian Streaming Apps

VidAngel

3.6 · $9.99/month on vidangel.com

A filtering layer that mutes profanity and skips sex and violence inside the Netflix, Prime Video, Apple TV, Paramount+ and Peacock subscriptions you already pay for. It supplies no films of its own, and a 2020 settlement bars it from ever touching Disney or Warner Bros. - which is a large part of why the store rating sits at 3.6.

Christian Streaming Apps

FaithNFreedomTV

3.4 · Free · no subscription or credit card

FaithNFreedomTV delivers three genuinely free live channels and a large on-demand library across nearly every screen—but its fusion of Bible teaching, prophecy, partisan commentary and health advocacy demands active source checking, not passive trust.

Christian Streaming Apps

Grace to You

3.4 · Free; optional donations

More than fifty-five years of John MacArthur sermons, broadcasts, devotionals, and nonstop teaching are free—but the rebuilt app’s 3.35 rating makes software reliability part of the verdict.

Christian Streaming Apps

GetSermons

3.3 · Free for listeners · church plans from $0

A free iPhone and Android sermon-discovery app with downloads, timestamped notes, social clips, playlists, recommendations, and AI conversation, paired with an inexpensive church publishing service—an appealing listening workflow whose rights, AI, privacy, security, and publisher-readiness documentation has not caught up with its ambition.

Christian Streaming Apps

GodTube

2.7 · Free with advertising

A long-running free Christian video website with an active catalog and recognizable music, comedy, ministry, and inspiration—the website is useful; the neglected mobile app is not.

Christian Streaming Apps

Christian Cinema

2.6 · Free to browse · rentals from $0.99

One of the oldest Christian movie stores now combines rentals, licensed purchases, and an optional subscription—but a 2.6 rating, advertising disclosures, and past library complaints demand caution.

Christian Streaming Apps

Websites & online tools

Church Online Platform

4.8 · Free

Life.Church’s genuinely free hosted layer for turning a video stream into a scheduled, interactive ministry experience—remarkably capable at any price, but the church still owns video delivery, moderation, safeguarding, and user-data compliance.

Christian Streaming Apps

Resi Livestreaming by Pushpay

4.7 · $99/month billed annually

A professional live, multisite, and on-demand video platform from Pushpay built around a store-and-forward Resilient Streaming Protocol—exceptionally dependable when a church can accept added latency and cost, but still demanding rigorous network, hardware, licensing, privacy, accessibility, and failure planning.

Christian Streaming Apps

Spf.io

4.7 · Custom quote

A mature multilingual church platform spanning live captions, translated speech, slides, recordings, documents, conversations, and human review—powerful enough to require a real language-access plan.

Christian Streaming Apps

Vimond VIA

4.6 · Custom quote

A professional cloud video CMS and OTT platform for launching, managing, protecting, and monetizing streaming services—powerful infrastructure at sales-led pricing.

Bible Study Video Subscriptions

RightNow Media

4.6 · Free through your church (most users)

A 20,000-title video library that most members never pay for directly - because their church already did.

Bible Study Video Subscriptions

Streamlingo

4.5 · Free; paid from €44/month

Browser-based live translation that listeners open by link or QR code, with a real free plan and unusually clear usage pricing—simple to start, but still dependent on audio, review, and human judgment.

Christian Streaming Apps

Hai-End-Streaming

4.2 · Free software · hardware and services separate

A mature open-source Raspberry Pi encoder and receiver that makes recurring church broadcasts operable from a simple web panel—excellent for technically governed fleets, but the church owns the hardware, network, security, media rights, and Sunday recovery plan.

Christian Streaming Apps

Sermon Live

4.1 · $49/month

A browser-based AI interpreter that turns an English sermon into near-real-time translated captions or synthetic speech for more than thirty languages—far easier to deploy than booths and headsets, but not safe to treat as a human interpreter for doctrine, crisis language, sacraments, or pastoral care.

Christian Streaming Apps

Cowntdown

4.0 · $9/month

A focused $9-per-month widget that remembers a church’s weekly livestream schedule, resets automatically, and hands visitors to the right broadcast—useful precisely because it does one small job, but still a third-party dependency that needs timezone, outage, accessibility, and billing checks.

Christian Streaming Apps

Good News Line

3.5 · Free

A free, long-running Christian video catalog that reorganizes YouTube sermons, music, movies, children’s programming, and shows into intentional shelves—convenient discovery wrapped in stale legal documentation and uneven editorial context.

Christian Streaming Apps

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Christian streaming service?

It depends who is watching. For children, Yippee TV at $7.99/mo or $49/yr is the best value and Minno is the pick if VeggieTales matters. For adults, UP Faith & Family at $5.99/mo has the largest faith-and-family library. Before paying for any of them, check whether your church provides RightNow Media free, and note that TBN+, The Chosen, Moody Radio and CBN Family cost nothing.

Is there a free Christian streaming service?

Several. TBN+, The Chosen, Moody Radio, Hope Channel, AudioVerse and the JESUS Film Project are all genuinely free. CBN Family is free with a CBN account, though its premium teachings require a $20/month-or-higher donor partnership. RightNow Media is free through a subscribing church, and most churches subscribe - ask yours first.

How much does Bentkey cost?

You cannot reliably find out, which is our main reservation. The landing page advertises "$5.84/month" billed annually plus a "$1" trial offer; the subscription page states "$99 Billed Annually"; and Bentkey's own support article on renewal pricing declines to publish a figure, saying only that a reminder email 30 days before renewal "will confirm the renewal price". It is annual-only and non-refundable.

Which Christian streaming service is best for kids?

Yippee TV for breadth and price - $7.99/mo or $49/yr, 7,000+ episodes, positioned as a curated alternative to YouTube. Minno if your children want the classic VeggieTales library, which it carries in full. Bentkey has strong originals like Chip Chilla but publishes contradictory prices. TruPlay is a games-and-comics app rather than a streaming service, and worth considering separately.

Can I watch these outside the United States?

Often not, and the terms are worth reading. UP Faith & Family says it is "currently available only within the continental United States" - which excludes Alaska and Hawaii too - and its terms prohibit access from abroad. Minno restricts by geographic location and uses geolocation to verify it. Yippee TV advertises "available worldwide" on its pricing page while its terms describe US-only operation, so verify before subscribing from overseas.

Which ones let you download for offline viewing?

Minno, Yippee TV and UP Faith & Family all support offline download. UP Faith & Family has an awkward constraint: "The app must remain open (i.e., app open and screen on) during the entire download", and downloads are documented only for mobile, not TV apps. Bentkey publishes nothing about offline download either way.

Do these services have parental controls or profiles?

Very few publish anything about it, which is surprising for the category. We could not find documentation of user profiles or a parental PIN for Minno, Yippee TV, Bentkey, UP Faith & Family, Wild Brothers TV or CBN Family. If separate child profiles matter to you, ask before subscribing rather than assuming.

Are Christian streaming services ad-free?

Most claim to be - Minno, Yippee TV, Bentkey and UP Faith & Family all state it explicitly. CBN Family notably never claims it, so do not assume. Ad-free is also the main thing you are buying in this category, since a good deal of the underlying content exists free on YouTube with advertising attached.

What is the catch with the cheap annual plans?

Usually that they are non-refundable and auto-renewing. Bentkey is annual-only and explicitly does not refund the unused portion - their own example has you cancelling in July with access continuing to the following May. UP Faith & Family gives no refund on cancellation and deliberately sends no notice when a free trial ends. Read the cancellation terms before the price.
